Do you offer 24-hour emergency call-outs?

Yes. We provide 24/7 emergency call-outs across Cornwall, including nights, weekends and bank holidays.

Are you NICEIC approved?

Yes. We're NICEIC approved, and all our work is tested and certified. We're also OZEV approved for EV chargers, MCS certified for solar and F-Gas certified for air conditioning.

How do I get a quote?

Call your local number or use the quote form. Tell us what you need and where, and we'll come back with a clear price.

Which areas do you cover?

The whole of Cornwall, plus Plymouth, Saltash and Torpoint. Each area has its own local number.

Are your electricians qualified?

Yes. All our electricians are qualified and every job is tested and certified under our NICEIC approval.

Are your quotes fixed?

Yes. We agree the work and the price with you before we start. If we find anything unexpected, we explain and agree it with you first.

Do you only work in Cornwall?

We cover the whole of Cornwall and into Plymouth, from our office in St Agnes.

How long is an EICR valid for?

The report states when the next test is due: usually five years for rented homes, shops and offices, more often for industrial sites and holiday accommodation with heavy use, and ten years for owner-occupied homes.

Do holiday lets legally need an EICR?

The five-yearly EICR law applies to long lets. For holiday lets, it isn't a specific legal requirement, but your fire risk assessment, insurer and letting agent will usually expect one, so most owners have one done regularly.

How often should a fire alarm be serviced?

Commercial systems are normally serviced at least every six months, with weekly tests by the occupier. We'll set up a schedule that suits your building.

How often does emergency lighting need testing?

A short function test every month and a full-duration test every year, all recorded in a logbook.

How often should appliances be tested?

It varies: hand-held tools on building sites need frequent checks, while office IT equipment needs testing less often. We'll recommend intervals for your setting.

Are there grants for EV chargers?

Yes. Renters and flat owners can get up to £500 off a home charger, and businesses up to £500 per socket through the Workplace Charging Scheme. The schemes currently run until 31 March 2027. We'll check whether you qualify.
